First and foremost, wear clothing that you are comfortable in, your pictures will show whether or not you are comfortable. Avoid wearing matching colors, everyone should reflect their own personal style while trying to either stay in the same color scheme (such as all wearing pastels) or one person wearing a pop of color (such as the man wearing a white shirt and the woman wearing a bright colored dress). Please see below for examples. For women, long flowy maxi dresses and skirts look great on the beach. Additionally, try to avoid showing bra straps, when in doubt where a strapless bra. Men, either khaki shorts/pants paired with a button down shirt (usually solid colors or simple prints) look the best. Please avoid wearing bright colored aloha shirts.
Let's face it, children will get sandy and they most likely will want to play in the water. Individual children photography will be done first to ensure clean clothes and happy smiles. Choose clothing that your child will be comfortable in. If your child doesn't wear accessories (such as headbands, bracelets, hats) please either try it on before to ensure your child likes it and won't be pulling it off during the photoshoot. Try to keep the color scheme the same with what you will be wearing.
